**TL;DR:** TrumpRx.gov lists four GLP-1 drugs: the Wegovy pill from $149 a month, the Wegovy pen and Ozempic at $199 for your first two fills, and Zepbound from $299 a month. Those are starting prices: most doses cost $349 to $499 a month after the intro offer ends. TrumpRx is not a pharmacy or insurance; it hands you a Novo Nordisk coupon or sends you to LillyDirect, it is cash only, and you still need a prescription. Whatever you pay, make the pounds you lose come from fat: [Sharpy](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/glp-diet-app-sharpy/id6762084138) gives you one protein target and one 20-minute workout a day.

Does TrumpRx have GLP-1 drugs, and how much do they cost? **Yes. On October 21, 2026, TrumpRx.gov listed four GLP-1 products: the Wegovy pill from $149 a month, the Wegovy pen and Ozempic at $199 for your first two fills, and Zepbound from $299 a month.** Those are starting prices. Most people pay more once they move up in dose or the intro offer runs out. TrumpRx is cash only, and you still need a prescription.

Searches like "trump rx glp 1" and "does trumprx cover glp 1" jumped this week. Here is what the site actually offers, dose by dose, and when it is (and is not) your cheapest option.

## What is TrumpRx?

TrumpRx.gov is a federal website that went live on February 5, 2026. It is not a pharmacy, and it is not insurance. It lists cash prices that drug makers agreed to in deals with the White House, then does one of two things:

- **Gives you a coupon** to show at a retail pharmacy (this is how the Novo Nordisk drugs work).
- **Sends you to the drug maker's own site** to buy there (Zepbound goes to LillyDirect).

It launched with just over 40 drugs. For weight loss and diabetes, the GLP-1s are the main draw.

## TrumpRx GLP-1 prices by drug and dose

We checked each product page on TrumpRx.gov and Lilly's self-pay terms on October 21, 2026.

| Drug | What TrumpRx shows | After the intro offer / higher doses | How you buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide) | $149 a month (1.5 mg) | $199 at 4 mg, $299 at 9 mg and 25 mg (NovoCare) | Coupon at a pharmacy |
| Wegovy pen (semaglutide) | $199 a month, first 2 fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg | $349 a month up to 2.4 mg; $399 at 7.2 mg | Coupon at a pharmacy |
| Ozempic (semaglutide) | $199 a month, first 2 fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg | $349 a month at 0.25 to 1 mg; $499 at 2 mg | Coupon at a pharmacy |
| Zepbound KwikPen (tirzepatide) | From $299 a month (2.5 mg) | $399 at 5 mg; $449 at 7.5 to 15 mg if you refill within 45 days | LillyDirect |

A few details matter here:

- **The $199 Wegovy and Ozempic price is for new self-pay patients only.** It covers two monthly fills made between November 17, 2025 and December 31, 2026.
- **The Zepbound 45-day rule.** Lilly's terms say the $449 price for 7.5 mg and up holds only if you refill within 45 days of your last fill. Otherwise the regular price is listed as $699.
- **Wegovy pill doses above 1.5 mg** were not priced on the TrumpRx page itself. The higher prices in the table come from NovoCare, which we covered in our [Wegovy pill cost guide](/blog/wegovy-pill-cost/).
- **Ozempic is approved for type 2 diabetes**, not for weight loss. Wegovy and Zepbound are the versions approved for weight management.

Foundayo (orforglipron), Lilly's GLP-1 pill, was not on the TrumpRx homepage when we checked. Lilly sells it from $149 a month through LillyDirect. See our [weight loss pill cost guide](/blog/weight-loss-pill-cost/) for every pill side by side.

## How does TrumpRx work, step by step?

1. **Get a prescription.** TrumpRx does not prescribe. You need a valid prescription from your doctor or a telehealth clinic.
2. **Find your drug on TrumpRx.gov** and pick the strength.
3. **For Wegovy or Ozempic,** accept the terms to see the coupon numbers, then show them at a retail pharmacy that carries the drug.
4. **For Zepbound,** click through to LillyDirect, which checks eligibility and ships to you.
5. **Pay cash.** Prices are per month. Lilly counts a month as 28 days, one KwikPen.

## Who is eligible for TrumpRx GLP-1 prices?

The Novo Nordisk terms on TrumpRx list these rules:

- You live in the US or a US territory.
- You are 18 or older.
- You have a valid prescription.
- You pay cash. People in government programs like Medicare, Medicaid, VA or TRICARE cannot get reimbursed for these purchases.

Pregnancy, a history of eating disorders, or being under 18 are reasons to talk with a doctor first, not to shop around for a price.

## The catches: insurance, deductibles and Medicare

This is the part most people miss. **Money you spend through TrumpRx does not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket maximum.** The terms say you cannot seek reimbursement from any insurer, and if your plan asks, you must say you bought the drug outside your plan.

So check these first:

- **Commercial insurance.** If your plan covers Wegovy or Zepbound, the maker's savings card can bring it to as little as $25 a month. That beats any TrumpRx price. If you were denied, our [Zepbound appeal letter guide](/blog/zepbound-appeal-letter/) walks through the appeal.
- **Medicare.** If you have Part D or a Medicare Advantage drug plan, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge offers Wegovy, Foundayo and the Zepbound KwikPen for $50 a month to people who qualify. That is much cheaper than $349. Read our [Medicare GLP-1 Bridge guide](/blog/medicare-glp-1-bridge/), and remember open enrollment runs through December 7, 2026.
- **No coverage at all.** This is where TrumpRx helps most. Still, the prices match what NovoCare and LillyDirect already charge, so the site mainly makes them easier to find.

## How much will you really pay in a year?

Most people move up in dose over the first few months, as their label and prescriber direct. Here is a rough cash total at the maintenance price, once intro offers end.

| Option | Monthly cash price | 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pill, 9 mg or 25 mg | $299 | $3,588 |
| Wegovy pen, up to 2.4 mg | $349 | $4,188 |
| Zepbound KwikPen, 7.5 to 15 mg, on-time refills | $449 | $5,388 |
| Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (if you qualify) | $50 | $600 |

At $3,500 to $5,400 a year, you want every pound you lose to be fat, not muscle. Studies of these drugs show a real share of weight lost can be lean mass. [Sharpy](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/glp-diet-app-sharpy/id6762084138) gives you one daily protein target, one 20-minute workout and a Shape Score so you can see whether you are keeping your muscle. Our guide on [how much protein you need on a GLP-1](/blog/protein-target-on-glp1/) has the numbers behind it.

## Is TrumpRx safe? What about online GLP-1 sellers?

The drugs on TrumpRx are the brand-name, FDA-approved products, filled by licensed pharmacies or by the maker's own service. That is different from the compounded and "research" GLP-1s sold online, several of which were recalled this month for sterility problems. If a site sells semaglutide or tirzepatide without a prescription, it is not Wegovy or Zepbound. Our [compounded GLP-1 guide](/blog/compounded-glp1/) explains the difference.

## The bottom line

TrumpRx lists the Wegovy pill at $149, the Wegovy pen and Ozempic at $199 to start, and Zepbound from $299 a month. After the intro offer, most doses run $299 to $499. It is cash only, and the spending does not count toward your deductible, so check your insurance and the Medicare Bridge first. Prices can change at any time, so confirm before each refill, and talk to your prescriber about which drug and dose fit you. Then use [Sharpy](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/glp-diet-app-sharpy/id6762084138) to protect the muscle you are paying to keep.

## Frequently asked questions

**Q: Does TrumpRx cover GLP-1 drugs?**

A: TrumpRx does not cover drugs the way insurance does. It lists cash prices. When we checked TrumpRx.gov on October 21, 2026, it listed four GLP-1 products: the Wegovy pill, the Wegovy pen, Ozempic and Zepbound. You pay the listed price yourself, with a valid prescription.

**Q: How much is Wegovy on TrumpRx?**

A: The Wegovy pill starts at $149 a month for the 1.5 mg dose. The Wegovy pen is $199 a month for a new patient's first two fills at 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg, then $349 a month for doses up to 2.4 mg and $399 a month for the 7.2 mg dose. The $199 intro price only applies to fills made by December 31, 2026.

**Q: How much is Zepbound on TrumpRx?**

A: TrumpRx lists Zepbound from $299 a month and sends you to LillyDirect to buy it. Lilly's self-pay terms list the KwikPen at $299 for 2.5 mg, $399 for 5 mg and $449 for 7.5 mg to 15 mg if you refill within 45 days. A late refill on the higher doses can cost up to $699.

**Q: How does TrumpRx work?**

A: You search for your drug on TrumpRx.gov. For Novo Nordisk drugs like Wegovy and Ozempic, you accept the terms and get a coupon to show at a retail pharmacy. For Zepbound, the site sends you to LillyDirect, Lilly's own online pharmacy service. Either way you need a prescription and you pay cash.

**Q: Can I use TrumpRx with insurance or Medicare?**

A: You can, but the money will not count. The Novo Nordisk terms on TrumpRx say you cannot get reimbursed by any insurance and the cost does not count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket limit. If you have Medicare drug coverage, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge offers Wegovy and the Zepbound KwikPen for $50 a month to people who qualify, which is far cheaper.

**Q: Is TrumpRx cheaper than GoodRx for GLP-1s?**

A: For brand GLP-1s, the TrumpRx prices are the same self-pay prices Novo Nordisk and Lilly offer on their own sites. Discount card prices for brand-name GLP-1s change often and vary by pharmacy, so compare the price at your pharmacy before you fill. Always check your insurance copay first, since it may be lower than both.
